2019年7月16日,美国田纳西大学Husheng Li教授应徐正元教授邀请做了一场题为“Information Efficiency and Gleaning in Cyber Physical Systems: From Maxwell's Demon to Millimeter Wave”的学术报告。报告会由龚晨教授主持,共50余名校内师生参加。此次报告会得到了“中科院无线光电通信重点实验室系列讲座”的支持,由中科大信息科学技术学院、中科院无线光电通信重点实验室承办。
Husheng Li教授重点介绍了网络物理系统(CPS)中信息的效率和收集。为了评估CPS中通信和控制的相互依赖性,其团队研究了CPS中的通信控制熵(或等效不确定性)。Husheng Li教授认为控制器会消除系统熵,由于热力学第二定律,系统熵不能自发地降低。因此,控制器需要从传感器传递的外部信息以用来减少系统熵。其团队针对有限和连续状态系统的降低熵的信息效率都进行了研究。
然后,Husheng Li教授讨论了如何利用5G系统中的毫米波通信进行感知,以作为无线通信的“奖励”。将基于被感兴趣对象阻挡或反射的毫米波信号来讨论毫米波波段中的对象的检测,跟踪和成像问题,并且给出了其团队基于这种“奖励”传感机制的实验和数值结果。报告结束后,Husheng Li教授与在座的老师和同学们进行了深入的交流,达到了学术交流迸发思想的目的。
报告人介绍:
Husheng Li received the BS and MS degrees in electronic engineering from Tsinghua University, Beijing, China, in 1998 and 2000, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from Princeton University, Princeton, NJ, in 2005. From 2005 to 2007, he worked as a senior engineer at Qualcomm Inc., San Diego, CA. In 2007, he joined the EECS department of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, TN, as an assistant professor. He was promoted to associate professor in 2013. His research is mainly focused on statistical signal processing, wireless communications, networking, smart grid and game theory. Dr. Li is the recipient of the Best Paper Awards of EURASIP Journal of Wireless Communications and Networks, 2005, EURASIP Journal of Advances in Signal Processing, 2015, IEEE Globecome 2017, IEEE ICC 2011 and IEEE SmartGridComm 2012, and the Best Demo Award of IEEE Globecom 2010.
