2019年9月3日,上海交通大学吴泳澎教授应徐正元教授邀请做了一场题为“On the Fundamental Limits of MIMO Massive Access Communication”的学术报告。报告会由龚晨教授主持,共50余名校内师生参加。此次报告会得到了“中科院无线光电通信重点实验室系列讲座”的支持,由中科大信息科学技术学院、中科院无线光电通信重点实验室承办。
本次报告中,吴泳澎教授首先介绍了巨址接入通信的研究动机,具有多用户的多址信道(MAC)是用于大规模通信的通用模型,在这种条件下,用户的数量可以和编码块长度n相当甚至更大。相比之下,经典MAC通常假定用户数量固定且数量较少。与传统多接入信道相比,引入巨量用户导致用户速率很低,其提出考虑采用空、时、频资源,特别是多天线技术。接着,吴泳澎教授详细介绍了考虑多天线系统的大规模接入信道,其中具有多个接收天线的基站在单个小区中为用户服务,假设用户的数量随着n无限增长。其团队研究了大规模MIMO接入信道的可实现区域,其中在总用户中,被称为活跃用户的未知子集可以周期性地发送数据,同时,渐近活跃用户的识别成本也被量化。随后,吴泳澎教授给出了相关的仿真分析结果,表明了给定有限数量的接收天线,每个用户的单独速率可以表示为总和速率乘以某些特定因子。
然后,吴泳澎教授对由于无穷用户的干扰,连续解码不适用的原因进行了详细介绍。并且通过理论分析表明,只有当接收天线的数量随着码长增加变为无穷大时,连续解码才有作用。最后,吴泳澎教授探讨了相关的未来工作,包括大规模随机接入,用户检测等问题。报告结束后,吴泳澎教授与在座的老师和同学们进行了深入的交流,达到了学术交流迸发思想的目的。

{Yongpeng Wu}(S'08--M'13--SM'17) received the B.S. degree in telecommunication engineering from Wuhan University, Wuhan, China, in July 2007, the Ph.D. degree in communication and signal processing with the National Mobile Communications Research Laboratory, Southeast University, Nanjing, China, in November 2013. He is currently a Tenure-Track Associate Professor with the Department of Electronic Engineering, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China. Dr. Wu was awarded the Excellent Doctoral Thesis Awards of China Communications Society 2016, the Exemplary Editor Award of IEEE Communication Letters 2017, and Young Elite Scientist Sponsorship Program by CAST 2017. He was an Exemplary Reviewer of the IEEE Transactions on Communications in 2015, 2016, 2018. He was the lead guest editor for the special issue ``Physical Layer Security for 5G Wireless Networks" of IEEE Journal on Selected Areas in Communicationsand the guest editor for the special issue ``Safeguarding 5G-and-Beyond Networks with Physical Layer Security" of IEEE Wireless Communication.He is currently an editor of the IEEE Transactions on Communications and IEEE Communications Letters.
