2019年12月20日,上海大学张舜卿教授应徐正元教授邀请做了一场题为“AI使能6G通信”的学术报告。报告会由龚晨教授主持,共50余名校内师生参加。此次报告会得到了“中科院无线光电通信重点实验室系列讲座”的支持,由中科大信息科学技术学院、中科院无线光电通信重点实验室承办。
报告中,张舜卿教授首先主要从移动通信发展的角度介绍了第六代(6G)移动通信系统的发展需求和发展目标。以每链接成本降低1000倍的角度,梳理当前主要关注的6G技术。随后,张舜卿教授以AI技术在未来无线网络中的应用为主线,介绍AI技术可能对未来无线网络各个层面的改进以及可能潜在的问题,如MAC层基于AI的无线调度器、网络层基于AI的网络分析器以及应用层基于AI的应用等。
然后,张舜卿教授以典型的信道编解码和无线信道估计为切入点详细介绍了两个具体案例,介绍了AI技术在无线通信领域应用的可能性以及需要进行重点改进的部分。传统无线信道编解码和深度学习结合方面,其团队基本完成用同样大小的网络实现可重构的多种解码,但存在支持码长受限问题。针对长码字解码,张舜卿教授团队主要提出了依据LLR分布进行判断码字是否可解以及依据有限次CRC预测迭代次数两种方案来解决,同时也给出了性能和解码延时分析。无线信道估计部分,张舜卿教授主要在COST2100模型基础上进行分析,采用信道插值和超分辨率恢复方法使得系统性能有了数量级的提升,但过程中存在实时化问题,通过降低关键路径的时延对其进行了优化。同时,其团队采用加入少量实测样本对信道进行估计的方法,也很大程度提升了系统性能。
最后,张舜卿教授对6G通信进行了展望。报告结束后,张舜卿教授与在座的老师和同学们进行了深入的交流,达到了学术交流迸发思想的目的。
报告人介绍:
Shunqing Zhang (S'05-M'09-SM'14) received the B.S. degree from the Department of Microelectronics, Fudan University, Shanghai, China, in 2005, and the Ph.D. degree from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Hong Kong, in 2009. He was with the Communication Technologies Laboratory, Huawei Technologies, as a Research Engineer and then a Senior Research Engineer from 2009 to 2014, and a Senior Research Scientist of Intel Collaborative Research Institute on Mobile Networking and Computing, Intel Labs from 2015 to 2017. Since 2017, he has been with the School of Communication and Information Engineering, Shanghai University, Shanghai, China, as a Full Professor. His current research interests include energy efficient 5G/5G+ communication networks, hybrid computing platform, and joint radio frequency and baseband design. He has published over 60 peer-reviewed journal and conference papers, as well as over 50 granted patents. He has won the paper award for Advances in Communications from IEEE Communications Society in 2017. He has served as the PI and Co-PI for various National-level projects, including 863 and 973 projects.
